Map
**The winding trail at Segersgärde v Fruberget is based on the main parking lot in Segersgärde (the one signed from Norrlandsleden) and goes first through the haglands west where the flowering is rich in the spring, including different orchid species. * *
The trail continues along the slope of Fruberget, which is rich in large precious trees where you can see traces of anxiety in the form of old hammered trees. The trail then goes north through the coniferous forest and then you take up the quartzite mountain, and until its top 67 m. Here you can see parts of stone walls that are residues of the ancient castle that have once been here. There is a wonderful view and in the good visibility you can see both Lofta and Gamleby churches and further out to the many islands of the archipelago. There are several strangely twisted hundred-year-old pine trees.
At the top of Fruberget you can then head down to the northern parking Segersgärde Nature Reserve or choose to walk down the mountain south through the gallered forest land into the haglands to return to the main parking lot. Here you look out over Gamlebyviken, the bird-rich petholms and further out Virgin Holmen, which are bird protection areas to peace the bird life there. South of the main parking lot there are also a number of restboards to enjoy a fikastund at.
