**Try a real family adventure in blue waters surrounded by green forests. Paddle downstream in narrow rivers and canals, in wind-protected long narrow lakes, in a canoe route where you are never far from shore and with an exciting surprise around every bend.

The canoe rental company Haglunds Gård offers pick-up of the canoes so that you can see as much of the trail as possible and you can take advantage of the current in canals and rivers. When you have paddled the whole system, you start to get used to it and master the canoe/kayak. Then you can take on even greater challenges, because after Skaftet you can continue out into the archipelago and there are miles of views and a myriad of islands. For longer archipelago paddling, we recommend that you have a kayak.

Paddling times depend on how fast you paddle (kayak or canoe) and it depends partly on whether you paddle a canoe (slower) or a kayak (almost double speed). But it also depends on whether you have children with you and whether you take frequent breaks. The stage times do not include time for lifting and moving canoes on land. The lifting time at each power station is usually combined with a break/rest and therefore the lifting time is highly individual.

Paddling times in a selection of stages:

Hallingeberg- Hummelstad: 1.5-3 hours

Hallingeberg-Ankarsrum: 4-8 hours

Total: Hallingeberg - Skaftet: 9.5-19 hours

Length of the canoe route:

Hallingeberg - Hummelstad 6 km

Hallingeberg- Ankarsrum 18 km

Ankarsrum - Skaftet 20 km

Total: Hallingeberg - Skaftet 38 km
