**From the road towards Källvik, turn towards Flatvarp and after 4 km turn right towards Hulöhamn. After about 4 km there is a marked parking lot and information board. The trails are about 4 km long in total and start from the same starting point.
The nature reserve consists of two peninsulas, Vindåsen and Hulöhamn, which protrude into the sea at the same level as Loftahammar.
One of the trails runs east of Båtsviken and is just under two kilometers long but runs in a demanding, mountainous terrain. The other goes on the other side of Båtsviken and is just over two kilometers long. It runs in a typical section of Tjust's inner archipelago, where you can still see the grazed beach meadows.
At the far end of Båtsviken is Hulöhamn village with fields, pastures and deciduous forest islets.
At the far end of Hulöhamn you meet the barren outer archipelago. Bays and islands have names that may seem peculiar today, but are reminiscent of the time when the fairway outside was frequently used. There are names that indicate that the area was used as a port, such as Lotsskackelsudden, Hamnskär and Livehamn. Other names indicate that accidents have occurred, such as Dödmanskroken and Dödmansviken. At the top of the mountain there are a number of sea marks, known as kummel, which showed sailors the way.
The nature reserve is dominated by sparse pine forest with a poor flora of mosses, lichens and sparse herbs.
In the deciduous forest areas of the valley, the ground is rich in herbs, and in the spring, bluebells, wood anemones and cowslips bloom, as well as smaller stands of Adam and Eve.
Typical of the Tjust archipelago are the 'whale fish ridges' in the bedrock. They are found both on land and in the water and have been formed by the abrasive action of the ice sheet and waves. Another geological phenomenon found in the area is "talus formation", which means that the water freezes into ice in the cracks of the rock, causing rocks and boulders to break away from the mountain slopes and gather in large piles below.
