**Ankarsrumsslingan is intended both for circular walks and as a connection to longer walks on the Tjustleden.

If you go to Isgölen on the Ankarsrum trail, after just a few hundred meters you will find the foundation walls (of cinder block) after "Isgöhleströms Manufakturverk", popularly called Spiksmedjan. Before the lakes were dammed, there was a rapids with a water wheel here. From 1760, a nail smithy hammered on one side and a timber saw was heard from the other for packaging. The nails were then barged across Hällsjön up to Ankarsrum.

The trail follows the beautiful stream, crosses a footbridge and soon comes up on the old mill road from Isgölen. A detour to Borgberget is recommended. From the top of the large ancient castle you have a magnificent view! On beautiful forest trails you then reach Ankarsrum. You may discover the strange "Penningestenen" by the path or one of the old coal bunkers that you pass.

In Ankarsrum, the trail goes through the mill park, passes, among other things, the statue of Harald Wiberg and goes back into the forest at the eastern railway crossing (narrow gauge). The trail follows "Gamla Läppebovägen", which is now a nice smaller forest road. You can see Hällsjön lake at "Vite Sand" and here it is good to swim.

The trail continues east of Läppebo and in the ravine at the lower gulley, the mountain plunges steeply into the water and the scenery is beautiful.
